Residence Hall EcoStar Challenge

From February 1 to March 15, students in the residence halls compete to improve sustainability using the One Million Acts of Green platform.  The halls with the highest per capita participation receive cash prizes - $700 for 1st place; $500 for 2nd place; $300 for 3rd place.  The resident in each hall who verifies the most emissions saved will be selected for a $100 REI gift certificate.  RA's will reward participants each week with cool eco-friendly prizes- shirts, hats, frisbees, flashlights, etc.

Final Hall Participation Standings:
#1, Smith Hall, 93% participation ($700 prize)
#2, Andrews Hall, 78% participation ($500 prize)
#3, Stearns East Hall, 36% participation ($300 prize)
#4, Cheyenne Arapaho Hall, 24% participation
#5, Kittredge West Hall, 23% participation

Overall, 23% of all residents (929 students) engaged in One Million Acts of Green!
